AMENDED NOTICE OF ELECTION OF DIRECTORS
and
ANNUAL SPRING MEMBERSHIP MEETING

JUNE 20, 2009, 1:00 pm

Pursuant to the Michigan Non-Profit Corporations Act and the Bylaws of New Beginnings Airedale Rescue, the Board of Directors hereby gives notice of the Annual Spring Membership Meeting for the purpose of holding an election for five (5) directors of the organization, as follows:

  1. The meeting shall be held at 1:00 p.m., June 20, 2009, at the East Lansing Public Library, 950 Abbot Road, East Lansing MI.
  2. All voting members in good standing as of May 21, 2009 and present at the meeting, in person or by proxy, shall be eligible to vote.
  3. Those who wish to become candidates for the board shall provide written notice by United States mail or by e-mail to Bette Boomgaard on or before 5:00 p.m. EDT, June 1, 2009 at the following address:

  4. Members who cannot attend the meeting are urged to vote by proxy. Such members may request a proxy ballot on or before June 1, 2009. All requests for a proxy ballot shall be directed to Bette Boomgaard at the above address. Requests may be made by United States mail or by e-mail.
  5. Proxy ballots will be mailed on or about June 10, 2009 to those requesting them. To be counted, proxy ballots must be returned to Ms. Boomgaard so as to be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009. Ms Boomgaard shall tally the proxy votes so received and cast them on behalf of the members electing to vote by proxy at said membership meeting.
  6. The five (5) candidates receiving the greatest number of votes will be elected to the Board of Directors and will take office on August 1, 2009. The Board of Directors appoints the officers of NBAR.
  7. Other agenda items for discussion will be posted on line approximately one week before the meeting.

Airedale Rescue Training
The National Airedale Rescue Board is to happy to offer an optional training program for apprentice rescue volunteers who are unable, or for some reason choose not, to obtain training through an active Airedale Rescue Regional Group operating in their area of residence.

Airedale Lovers Picnic

U.S. Coast Guard kids parade starts at 10:30 followed by the sixth annual Airedale Lovers picnic at Bette & Joe Boomgaard's home.
Everyone welcome!
If you can't make the parade, come to the picnic!
Meet in downtown Grand Haven at 10:00 a.m. to participate in the parade with your (well behaved) Airedale.

We are New Beginnings Airedale Rescue, based in Michigan and operate within the Great Lakes states, namely:  Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
